On September 5, 2025, Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM) hosted a truly unforgettable event by bringing together three significant occasions into one grand celebration — Teachers’ Day, Onam, and the Farewell Ceremony of Cloud Practitioner Batch 3. This unique convergence of festivities created an atmosphere of joy, reflection, and heartfelt appreciation, turning the day into more than just a program — it became a celebration of values, memories, and new beginnings.

The day began with a sense of anticipation and reverence as the campus welcomed a very special guest, Fr. Biju Michael SDB, Regional Superior of South East Asia. Joining for the first segment of the event, Fr. Biju addressed the trainees of DBSM with a powerful and inspiring message. He encouraged the youth to pursue excellence with integrity, to adopt discipline as a daily practice, and to take full advantage of the opportunities that learning presents. His words were more than a speech — they were a call to action, deeply resonating with everyone present and setting a meaningful tone for the rest of the celebration.

The program unfolded at the Kalam Auditorium, where students, trainers, staff, and guests came together in a vibrant atmosphere of togetherness and celebration. A series of cultural performances showcased the creativity and spirit of the students. Cloud Practitioner Batch 4 delighted the audience with a surprise dance and mime act, bringing laughter and applause. This was followed by traditional Onam dance performances that highlighted Kerala’s rich cultural heritage, captivating the audience with their grace and colour. Musical interludes, including solo and group songs, added a soulful dimension to the program, celebrating the festive spirit through rhythm and harmony.

As part of the Onam segment of the event, Mr. Rinto Kurian shared a thoughtful message about the relevance of Onam in today’s fast-changing world. He spoke about the festival’s deeper meanings — unity, humility, and social harmony — values that are especially important in modern times. To mark Teachers’ Day, Ms. Dharani delivered a heartfelt message that celebrated educators as mentors, guides, and lifelong influencers who shape not just careers, but character.

The most emotional and memorable part of the day was the farewell ceremony for Cloud Practitioner Batch 3. Students Anil Kumar and Rithisha took the stage to share their experiences, offering sincere thanks to the trainers and staff who supported them throughout their journey. Their words were filled with appreciation, nostalgia, and optimism, capturing the true essence of a farewell — not as an end, but as the beginning of a new chapter.

What made this celebration stand out was not just the variety of events, but the sense of connection and meaning woven through each segment. It was a day that celebrated the past, honoured tradition, and looked forward to the future with hope and confidence.

For Don Bosco Skill Mission, the September 5 event served as a powerful reminder of what education truly represents — not just the transfer of knowledge, but the nurturing of community, culture, and character. It was a day that left everyone enriched, inspired, and proud to be part of the Don Bosco Tech family.
