On 5th September 2025, Don Bosco Skill Mission hosted a dynamic and enlightening seminar on grooming, personality development, and interview preparation at Mother Teresa Hall. The session was conducted by Mr. Asim Khan, a seasoned corporate trainer from Procter & Gamble, who brought with him a wealth of experience and an inspiring approach to personal transformation.

The two-hour session opened with a modern touch, as participants scanned a QR code to register their details and confirm their attendance, ensuring a streamlined process for receiving their participation certificates.

Mr. Khan led the seminar with a strong emphasis on how grooming is much more than appearance—it is a reflection of one’s professionalism, mindset, and readiness for the workplace. He introduced the concept of the ABC of Grooming, a simple yet powerful framework that captured the attention of all attendees:

    A – Appearance
Mr. Khan highlighted the importance of dressing appropriately, maintaining neatness, choosing the right color contrasts, and ensuring that accessories like belts and shoes are coordinated. He emphasized that first impressions are often formed within seconds, and personal appearance plays a significant role in that judgment.

    B – Body Language
Through engaging examples and demonstrations, students learned how posture, eye contact, gestures, and even the way one enters a room can influence how others perceive them. Confidence, he explained, is often conveyed silently through body movements long before words are spoken.

    C – Communication
A skill Mr. Khan described as the bridge that connects intention with impact. He underscored the importance of English as a global language and an essential tool for career advancement. From interview panels to client meetings, the ability to communicate clearly and effectively often defines success in professional settings.

The seminar went beyond surface-level tips and ventured into the deeper aspects of self-presentation and personality. Mr. Khan encouraged students to develop self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and consistency in behavior—all of which contribute to long-term success and strong interpersonal relationships.

What made the session particularly memorable was its interactive nature. Students were not just passive listeners—they actively participated, asked questions, and reflected on their own grooming habits and communication styles. Mr. Khan’s engaging delivery, combined with relatable real-life examples, made complex topics easy to grasp and highly relevant.

As the session came to a close, Gillette grooming kits were distributed to the male participants, adding a thoughtful and practical touch to the overall experience. It served as a reminder that small steps in personal care can lead to significant changes in confidence and presentation.

The seminar left a lasting impression on the trainees, many of whom expressed a renewed commitment to refining their personality, improving their communication skills, and preparing confidently for job interviews. With the knowledge and tools gained, they are now better equipped to navigate the challenges of the professional world.

Through sessions like this, Don Bosco Skill Mission continues to uphold its mission of preparing young people not just for employment, but for excellence. The seminar was not just an event, but a meaningful step toward shaping future-ready individuals who understand the value of personal development in their journey toward success.
