The celebration began with a warm and gracious welcome address by Ms. Shibalin Lyngkhoi, who extended heartfelt greetings to the dignitaries, management, trainers, and trainees present. Her opening remarks set a positive and reflective tone for the programme, highlighting the importance of gratitude, growth, and togetherness. This was followed by an experience-sharing session by Ms. Sindhoora from Cloud Practitioner Batch 5, who eloquently spoke about her journey at Don Bosco Skill Mission. She reflected on the technical knowledge gained, the professional discipline instilled, and the unwavering support of the trainers and staff. Her testimony not only celebrated personal growth but also served as a source of motivation for the continuing batches.
Adding an emotional and artistic touch to the programme, the GSA–F&B students presented a heartfelt farewell song. The performance beautifully conveyed gratitude, memories, and hope for the future, creating a moment of reflection for both the outgoing trainees and the faculty who had guided them through their journey.
The spiritual essence of Christmas was thoughtfully highlighted through the Christmas message delivered by Rev. Fr. Eugene Florence, Director of Don Bosco Skill Mission. In his address, he spoke about the true meaning of Christmas, emphasizing values such as love, humility, service, compassion, and unity. He encouraged the trainees to carry these values forward into their workplaces and personal lives, reminding them that success is meaningful only when guided by integrity and empathy. His message resonated deeply with the audience and added a reflective depth to the celebration.
This was followed by an experience-sharing session by Ms. Valarie Sumer from GSA–F&B Batch 4, who shared her transformative journey during the training programme. Enhancing the festive atmosphere, Br. Barnabas Khriam, Centre Head, rendered a Christmas song that filled the hall with warmth, joy, and a sense of celebration.
One of the most engaging highlights of the event was the Christmas skit performed by the students, which creatively brought the spirit of Christmas to life. Through thoughtful storytelling and lively performances, the skit conveyed messages of joy, generosity, and togetherness. Special appreciation was extended to Mr. Darshan KB, who portrayed the role of Santa Claus with great enthusiasm and energy, delighting the audience with his vibrant dance performance and lively presence.
The programme then moved into a moment of recognition and appreciation with the distribution of farewell gifts to the outgoing batches of Cloud Practitioner Batch 5 and GSA–F&B Batch 4. The Best Student Award for Cloud Practitioner Batch 5 was presented to Ms. Pallavi, while Ms. Valarie Sumer received the Best Student Award for GSA–F&B Batch 4, acknowledging their dedication, consistent performance, and commitment throughout the training period. The awards and gifts were presented by Rev. Fr. Eugene Florence, Director, along with Rev. Fr. Briito Francis, Assistant Director, and Br. Barnabas Khriam, Assistant Director and Centre Head, in a gesture that celebrated excellence and perseverance.
The celebration reached a harmonious and memorable conclusion with a multilingual Christmas carol sung collectively by trainees from Cloud Practitioner Batch 5, Batch 6, and the F&B batch. The carol, performed in Tamil, Khasi, Hindi, Kannada, and English, beautifully reflected the unity in diversity that defines the Don Bosco Tech Society. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Ms. Kirithika from Cloud Practitioner Batch 5, who expressed sincere appreciation to the management, trainers, organizers, and fellow trainees for making the event meaningful and memorable.
