On 31st July 2025, Don Bosco Skill Mission hosted an engaging guest lecture for the Cloud Practitioners batches, opening the doors to a world of digital possibilities. The session was led by Mr. Varghese George, Manager – FSP Adoption & GTM Alliance at FutureSkills Prime, who introduced students to three transformative courses offered under the NASSCOM FutureSkills Prime initiative: Cloud Google Generative AI, Introduction to the Internet of Things (IoT), and Digital 101.

What made the session remarkable was not just the introduction of the courses, but the way Mr. George unfolded the larger picture of how digital skills are shaping industries and redefining the workforce of tomorrow. He highlighted how cloud technologies paired with generative AI are revolutionizing business models, how IoT is weaving intelligence into everyday devices, and how even foundational digital literacy can become a powerful tool for growth in any career path.

Each course was presented not as a standalone program, but as a stepping stone in the broader digital ecosystem. Students gained clarity on the objectives, the structure, and most importantly, the real-world relevance of these learning journeys. The Cloud course promised to equip learners with hands-on knowledge of Google Cloud’s generative AI capabilities, while the IoT course revealed how connected technologies are enabling smarter decisions through seamless data exchange. Digital 101 stood out as an essential primer, reminding students that true digital readiness begins with mastering the basics of cybersecurity, online productivity, and safe digital practices.

Beyond the content, the lecture was interactive and thought-provoking. Students actively engaged, raising questions that linked theory to practical applications in industries they aspire to join. Mr. George also guided them through the enrollment process on the FutureSkills Prime platform, ensuring they understood not just the “what” but also the “how” of beginning their digital learning journey.

By the end of the session, all attendees were successfully enrolled in the three courses, each with its own timeline for completion. The experience left students with more than just information—it gave them a sense of direction, a clear understanding of how industry-aligned certifications can set them apart, and a newfound enthusiasm to explore technologies that are shaping the present as much as the future.

The lecture was more than a briefing; it was an invitation to step confidently into the digital economy. Students walked away with knowledge, curiosity, and the assurance that they are preparing themselves for opportunities in an evolving job market that increasingly rewards those who are digitally fluent and future-ready.
