On 12/06/25  the students at Don Bosco Tech had the unique opportunity to participate in an insightful and engaging guest lecture facilitated by esteemed representatives from the Wadhwani Foundation – Mrs. Kulkarni, Mr. Vinay K C, and Ms. Swathy Puthran. The session offered a dynamic blend of collaboration, self-reflection, and cutting-edge interview preparation techniques, leaving students with valuable takeaways for their personal and professional growth.

One of the most impactful parts of the session was a team-based collaboration activity. Students were divided into 13 groups, and each group selected a leader from among themselves. These leaders took on the role of keen observers as their group members delivered self-introductions. After careful listening, each leader chose the individual whose introduction stood out the most and presented their reasoning to the entire class. This exercise wasn’t just about public speaking—it was a real-time lesson in leadership, empathy, and attentive communication. Students learned to appreciate the nuances of self-expression and the importance of recognizing strengths in others.

The session took an exciting turn with a live demonstration of AI-powered tools tailored for placement and interview readiness. Students were introduced to a platform that allowed them to choose specific job roles, following which they were presented with five customized interview questions. What made this exercise particularly compelling was the AI’s ability to instantly analyze their responses and provide constructive feedback along with a score—each question carrying a maximum of five points. This immediate reflection helped students identify both their strengths and areas for improvement, offering a rare, data-driven insight into their interview performance.

To further inspire excellence, two students who showcased outstanding performance during the AI simulation were recognized and awarded. Their success served as a powerful reminder of how technology, when used thoughtfully, can become a catalyst for confidence and competence.

The guest lecture wasn't just a lesson in interview techniques—it was a forward-looking experience that highlighted the evolving role of AI in education and employability. It gave students a fresh perspective on how modern tools can support their journey toward career readiness while nurturing essential soft skills like teamwork, active listening, and self-awareness.

This session from the Wadhwani Foundation truly bridged the gap between traditional learning and modern-day professional demands, equipping Don Bosco Tech students with new knowledge and renewed motivation to prepare for the world beyond the classroom.
