On 12th July 2025, the staff and trainees of Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM) went on an exposure visit to four culturally and naturally significant locations outside Bangalore city: Somanathpur, Talakadu, Mudukuthore, and Shivanasamudram Waterfalls. The visit began at Somanathpur, where everyone enjoyed a hearty breakfast followed by a visit to the Chennakesava Temple, known for its intricate Hoysala architecture. At Mudukuthore, a special celebration was held in honor of Fr. Eugene Florence SDB, the Director of DBSM, on the occasion of his birthday. The program included heartfelt speeches, a soulful song by Fr. Eugene himself, energetic dances by the Cloud Practitioner batches, a meaningful skit by the Electric Vehicle (EV) students, and the joyful distribution of cake, followed by a delicious lunch shared by all as one family. The celebration brought everyone together in a spirit of unity and gratitude. After the celebration, the group proceeded to Shivanasamudram Waterfalls, where they enjoyed the scenic beauty and visited nearby temples. Before departing, group photographs were taken to capture the memorable day. The exposure visit was a meaningful blend of cultural learning, celebration, and community bonding, and it offered the trainees a refreshing and enriching experience beyond the classroom.
