On August 1st, 2025, the DBTech family came together at Don Bosco Skill Mission (DBSM) for an extraordinary celebration that was as purposeful as it was heartwarming. In a rare and beautifully integrated event, three significant milestones were woven into a single, memorable program: the birthday of Fr. George Mathew, Executive Director of DBTech; the inauguration of Cloud Practitioner Batches 3 & 4 and the Guest Service Associate – Food & Beverage (F&B) course; and the heartfelt farewell to Cloud Practitioner Batches 1 & 2 and the Electric Vehicle Charging Station Technician students.
Rather than hosting these events in isolation, DBTech chose to unite them — creating not just a celebration, but a tapestry of transitions: of leadership and legacy, of new beginnings and grateful goodbyes. It was a reflection of the DBTech ethos — one rooted in community, growth, and the shared journey of transformation.
The day opened with the solemn Lighting of the Lamp by members of the DBSM family, immediately followed by a stirring prayer song led by Aidashisha and her team — grounding the event in grace and gratitude. Mam Anita Kapuh, Senior Executive Placement Officer from the Dimapur Region, then extended a warm and inspiring welcome, setting the tone for what would be an uplifting celebration of human spirit and shared purpose.
Cultural expressions took center stage with a series of electrifying performances — from the dynamic group dances of the F&B students, CC3 and EV batches, to soulful music by the DBTech staff and a vibrant solo dance from a CC1 student. Each performance was not only a showcase of talent but also a testament to the students’ confidence, unity, and growth.
What elevated the program further were the personal testimonies of transformation. Students Nihila (CC2) and Altamash (EV batch) shared heartfelt reflections — stories of challenge, resilience, and gratitude that resonated deeply with all present. Fr. Eugene, Director of DBSM, delivered a message filled with pride and encouragement, applauding the students for their perseverance and progress.
The highlight of the event came with the arrival of the “birthday boy” — Fr. George Mathew — whose address was both inspiring and visionary. His words reminded the gathering of the power of belief, the value of skill, and the mission that drives DBTech: empowering youth through dignity, education, and opportunity.
Agnes, from Cloud Practitioner Batch 1, delivered an earnest vote of thanks, beautifully capturing the essence of the day. The ceremony culminated in a joyful prize distribution led by the trainers, honoring excellence and dedication, followed by a jubilant cake-cutting in celebration of Fr. George’s birthday — a fitting finale to a day full of emotion, energy, and hope.
This was not just an event — it was a celebration of the DBTech spirit. A moment where past, present, and future converged in a shared space of learning, gratitude, and joy. A reminder that at Don Bosco, every milestone is a collective achievement, and every farewell a stepping stone to new possibilities.
