The second batch of trainees in the Data Centre Operations Management Course formally graduated on April 4, 2022, at Don Bosco Skill Mission. It was a proud moment for the 22 graduates hailing from different regions of Karnataka, Chennai, and Kolkata who expressed great satisfaction at the end of the training and their homely stayed at Don Bosco Skill Mission.

Gracing the occasion was Fr George Mathew, Executive Director of Don Bosco Tech, Fr Noble George, Assistant Director of Don Bosco Tech, Fr Joseph Elavanal, Director of DBSM, and Ms Niveditha, Regional Manager of Don Bosco Tech. They encouraged and motivated the young trainees to ensure that they always remain 'employable' by continuing to acquire skills as they take up jobs in the industry.

Representatives from the funding partner STT GDC India, Mr Shankar Munisamy, Associate Director, and Mrs Chandra Kala, the assistant manager, shared inspirational thoughts of encouragement to the trainees.

The Data Centre is a fast-growing industry in India. The need for trained hands at all levels led to discussions between  STT GDC India and Don Bosco Tech to skill the young people as maintenance technicians and engineers at Data Centres with funding support from STT GDC India. Don Bosco Tech prepared the content and curriculum, and the STT GDC India team offered to train 22 candidates over the last four months.

With the quality training and exposure visits to the Live Data Centre of STT GDC India in Bangalore, the students are ready for the industry. The crowning moment is that all the students have an opportunity to be certified by the international organization Enterprise Products Integration Pvt Ltd (EPI), based in Singapore. The online assessment offers Data Centre Foundation Certificate (DCFC).

The support, guidance, and direction of Fr Joseph Elavanal, Director of Don Bosco Skill Mission, Bangalore, the National team, and trainers at DBSM have led to the successful completion of the training program.
